I just let time get away from me, really.  I get easily distracted by shiny things and then forget to  post a blog .  Yes we have slowed down a bit but  we have alot to show you very soon.  I know summer for me is so busy because we have such a short growing period that you have to jump on it asap or you won’t have a tree or grass or anything else.  So far we have grass on both sides of the house, 2 apple, 1 cherry, 3 lilacs, 2 little trying to hang in there lilacs, 2 aspens that are not looking good, 2 birch, 1 ornamental plum, and 1 I forget your name tree.  Around here you spend most of the summer trying to get the plants strong enough to survive the winter.  I don’t mind really because I love the plants, trees, etc.  Once you do get them established it is really easy to take care of them, it’s just getting them established that is the hard part.  Another issue of Modern Witch magazine is due out and yes I did write up another pattern and I know I need to write more for Blessed Elements and I will as I am full of alot of different ideas.

If you belong to Ravelry then you know that site is a wealth of information.  I have been just a little bit stuck as to what to design next so I did a sort of unofficial poll and now have a nice list of ideas to work on.  Apparently charts of pentacles have been way overdone but that ok, I have a pretty good list of what is really desired and will work on that.  I knew coming into this that it wouldn’t be easy.  See it is really easy to know what “I” like but the hard part is trying to guess at what others like So no worries more designs will be coming I just sort of had a little block but it is all cleared up now.

I know I have not been posting in here like I should but there will be more posts and of course there will be more patterns very soon, I have alot of ideas and just need to get them worked out and then written down…..that is always the hard part.  Sometimes I will have a great design idea and once I get it made or start to make it, I will discover “design flaws” and that is what take a little time, working out those “design flaws” , hahahahaha.

Oh well there is always next summer solstice, it was just a little too windy to have even a little fire, don’t want to chance it since last year the fire was almost to my fence and it was very very scary.  In other news I was working on crocheted food for my beautiful Granddaughter whom I adore.  I wish they lived here so that I could see her each and every day, I would never get tired of her, she will be 3 in September and she is a pistol, ha.  Yes we are in deep trouble when she learns how to be very specific with what she wants….I can see it all now my husband will have 3 jobs to get her what she wants, hahahahahaha.  Ok back to other stuff, not sure if you noticed but we have t-shirts for sale.  Aren’t they beautiful, be sure to thank Habundia as she was really the driving force behind it.  We both are going to start doing more on this site, it is a bit slow going but we both sort of got a little side tracked but no worries we still promise this will be the best place for you to get all the lovely gifts and patterns.  Stay tuned.

I’m pretty excited this year, we are going to have a little fire YEAH !!!!!  Not a big one, just enough to jump to get out the negativity.  Not that I have alot of that, I am very thankfull for that.  The goddess has certainly smiled huge on us this  year.  I have alot of things growing, everything is looking wonderful, and my trees are holding up nicely (just planted 6 new trees for the third time, yes third time is the charm).  I have kept on planting things for 3 years (that is when we moved here)and really having a hard time getting them to grow and then my neighbor told me that the person we bought it from, cleared the lot and put down “killz” not sure of the spelling anyhow that stuff kills everything for I think 7 years which would explain why I couldn’t get anything to grow.  Well it is all good now, I have grass on both sides of the house, my lilacs bloomed very beautiful, iris, and my 2 apple and 1 cherry tree made it thru the winter, YEAH.  I am feeling pretty blessed.

This is our third year living in this place and we started with nothing yard wise, it was all weeds, I did manage to save 3 lilacs and 1 apple tree.  So the first year I planted grass (my husband has a type of chemical problem any type of plant he touches dies and no I am not kidding but he does rototill and did holes for trees) then the next year planted grass on the other side of the house.  This year I re seeded one side because it did not take, no biggie and then my husband built a deck, just finished and we love it.  One of the trees that I just love and they do grow great here are Birch, well I must of missed the sale (we live in a small town) and sadly I have been looking for 2 weeks for one.  I did find some at a nursery but they wanted $159.00 each, YIKES.  Anyway today is my lucky day, we thought well we will go do another once over at Home Depot and see what they have left….Oh happy day…there they were 3 birch trees, we got 2, then 2 aspens, 1 flowering plum, and one Kelova(never heard of this tree but they say they grow very well here) and I got 7 rose bushes which also grow very well here.  Oh I can’t wait, I am really excited for TREES.  Guess what I am doing tomorrow, hahahahaha.

I see there are several blogs that are doing a complete day and post it as a blog post.  Now I have thought about joining in on this fun but really thinking that I won’t.  Why ????  I might actually get tired reading it, hahahahaha, especially right now.  Just planted grass, have alot of weeding to do, and of course we need to start going to get wood (we do not have a regular heater we use wood to heat the house with) and that is usually an all summer job, we go get it drag it home and then split it and stack it and when we are not doing that, there is weeding, watering, and whatever else we need to do…..and I am thinking about investing in a green house hmmmmm that would probably be a year round thing but really that thought doesn’t scare me.

Honestly I had not realized that I did not make a post for this long, so sorry to those who read my blog here.  I am behind and did not change the page today like normal but no worries I will get it done tomorrow and I do have a little bit of something very interesting so be sure to take a look tomorrow.  There are two new patterns that I need to get up there and of course there are more.  Modern Witch Magazine has sent out their first issue and I am really impressed with all the other editors, it is a really nice magazine and I am really glad that I signed on as the “crafty witch” .  Well thats it for now.
