Arthur, An Uninvited Visitor! #WorldArthritisDay

There is an unwelcome visitor that intrudes on the lives of over 4 million people in the United States and hundreds of millions around the world.
He victimizes adults and children alike and for centuries we have been told that there is no help in getting rid of him or the pain that he causes in the lives of people he inflicts his presence upon.

My grandmother use to call him Arthur. In truth, he is Arthritis and today we are standing up against this painful affliction to take action against Arthritis!
October 12, 2012 is World Arthritis Day . World Arthritis Day is part of a global awareness initiative by the United Nations.

Since Arthritis affects one in every five adults chances are that you or someone you know deals with pain caused by this condition.
My mother deals with pain in her finger joints from Arthritis and continually exercises her hands so they will remain mobile so she can sew and perform all the tasks needed throughout the day. There is no known cure so people are sharing ways with one another that help them fight Arthritis pain from over taking their life.

Brian Teacher,a tennis pro, fights his arthritis by continually playing the tennis to maintain mobility. Here Brian’s thoughts in this YouTube video.

Another source is an app called the ‘Pain Tip App’. The link will take you to their site where you can download it or view the site for tips that have helped others with Arthritis. Preventative steps to reduce impact on your joints against Osteoarthritis are also listed there for those that want to take preventative measures against getting the disease.
