Growing up I was always outside playing. I certainly got my exercise whether it was running and playing tag or hanging from the monkey bars.
Growing up my father became interested in Yoga and taught me some of the positions and practices. I’m sure the interest in yoga helped me as a teenager and helped me stay active. I learned a lot about breathing techniques. Yoga has many values to become healthier.
It seems to me that most children do not spend as much time outdoors as me and my children did and I wonder at times how they implement exercise in their daily routine. Truly television and the computer are fast sources of entertainment.
I discovered Playful Planet and instantly fell in love with their concept of teaching kids yoga and infuse them with consciousness towards the environment with their D.V.D.
My grandchildren came to stay with me after Christmas and the two youngest and I watched the two stories of Save the Whale and Condor Trek. The stories are told by certified children’s Yoga instructor, Ahmed Fahmy, as he guides children through a story they engage in while using Yoga positions as well.
We didn’t get too far into story of Condor Trek, where the children planned to carry Condor Eggs to the special location, when my 5 year old grandson quickly grabbed a comforter to sit on the floor and joined in with the story.

I was a little amazed as I’ve never really seen him be very interested in the T.V. or anything capture his attention in this manner. He really loved the plot of the story and the fact that he too was going to help the Condor Eggs to a place of safety.
The exercises were easy to grasp and some forms of the exercises will be very recognizable by a non- yoga practicing adult as fun exercises practiced such as the bicycle.

He will have a good grasp on connecting with nature and correct Yoga techniques through the imaginative stories in this package as he continues to watch this D.V.D. Having fun while learning is always an important key element for a child’s growth and lasts with them throughout the years. Yoga is a very healthy activity for kids.
Playful Planet has also been discovered and endorsed by some familiar names such as Ceasar Millan and Singer/Song Writer Keb’Mo’ as well.
Keb’Mo’ has some wonderful thoughts on our roles in guiding our children in this video.
You too can introduce this wonderful D.V.D into the lives of chidren you know and love by visiting their site to learn more about them and purchasing their D.V.D here.
If you would like to invest in a product that would reward your child in a healthy mind, body and how to live a green life then Playful Planet is a good place to start.

I would love to learn yoga and probably need to start like a kid would. I have such a hard time with it for some reason. Probably, I am off balance.
How fun! Sounds like something Little Bit will really enjoy in a few years
We have this DVD too and my kids love it! It is so clever how they incorporate a story with the yoga moves!
This looks like it would be lots of fun for my kids! My daughter tries to do yoga and it is very cute.
