Several people this year made the resolution to get healthier and loose weight. Dieting is usually the method most choose.
Depending on the desire and determination several of them are still continuing to loose weight. I lost 30 pounds over three years ago. I accomplished my goal by portion control.
Lots of times I thought things would be easier if I had a kitchen scale to weigh my food but I had to guess instead of weigh.
This year my husband is trying to take off some unwanted pounds. We are fortunate to do it right with the Eat Smart Precision Retro Scale.

I chose the Retro Scale because it has a 4″dial face which is really easy to read and the indicators graduates in 1oz (25grams) with a maximum capacity to 11 lbs/ 5kgs.
I’m an old fashion girl who likes to judge for her self what a scale is saying rather than it to just appear magically in digital form. Plus this will also be great to use with the grand kids to teach them how to weigh things.
I love that it has a 1.5 quart brushed stainless steel bowl included and is removable for easy clean up.

The Retro scale is decorative too so I don’t have to worry about finding a place for it in my cabinets.

I just leave ours out on the counter which makes it easier to weigh food while cooking or serving.
This is a wonderful scale and you don’t have to be on a diet to own one. Normal cooking will give lots of opportunities to use this scale and this will be a great addition to any kitchen.

There are three colors to choose from so one is sure to be perfect for any kitchen. Assembling the scale when it arrives is easy and takes only minutes. This will be one of those cooking tools most will fall in love with easily and then wonder how they ever lived without it. I know I’ll also get a lot of use from this during the summer while canning and freezing.
Eat Smart is also one of those great companies that cares and gives back.
For February 2012, they will be donating 50 cents for every new Google+ Circle Add to their Charity of the Month, the National MS Society (psst. when you enter the giveaway you’ll get extra entries for adding them to your circle.)
Eat Smart has a variety of scales from luggage, kitchen and bathroom on their site

love love love this scale!!! it is adorable!!
Oh, my word! I love this retro scale!! I have a collection of retro kitchen utensils from greats and grandmothers and I just adore cooking and baking with them! I’d never seen these before – thank you so much for sharing
That is the cutest scale! I love it. I need one of these for myself.
These look soo coool! I used to have a food scale but a certain child, who shall remain nameless, tried to weigh himself on it and it was just never the same after.
My digital scale eats batteries so I never get any real use from it. Nothing better than the classics. Reliable and just cool to look at
I like this for its function but I also think it would look really nice on my counter.
LOVE this scale – Ive been looking for a good replacement option for my digital scale – seems as though I have just found it!
