Grandma Magic Moments

I try and kick off a month with a holiday right at the start instead of waiting for the exact day. I’m a Halloween enthusiast so always give it that extra boost to make it fun for the grand kids on their visit.
We started our day off by going to see Hotel Transylvania.

The kids really enjoyed it. I have to be honest and tell you there were a few times I shifted in my seat and looked at my watch but they laughed through out the movie so it was a real hit for them.
Afterwards we went to one of their favorite places to eat. They were also featuring Hotel Transylvania so we just made it a day as a theme party for Hotel Transylvania.

Mr. K. is too old and too cool for Happy Meals so he enjoys the adult menu these days.

Because his older brother is too cool for Happy Meals then Mr. L thinks he is too. I still buy them for him and swear I just got it so I could have the toy. :)

Miss B is cool and thinks Happy Meals are cool too so she was happy that she got a Hotel Translvania Happy Meal.

Once we got home and played outside and played some games, it was time to eat again. I made a themed meal of Mummy Hotdogs and some Safari Ltd Mammoth Skulls to decorate the plates and make it that much more special.

The boys occupied themselves doing projects with grand pa and Miss B and I made some cookies and adorned them with spider rings for a spooky touch.

Neither the month of October nor Halloween is over yet so I have some more fun things planned for a Halloween party with the kids!

Grandkids are a blessing.. we have 10 now and have raised 1 and working on helping to raising the youngest 4. I am very fortunate that they all live with a few miles from us. I like to take them a few at a time to go out for an ice cream or our favorite Happy Meal. I can see the smiles on the kids faced that they enjoyed themselves.

I love that you made it a theme day. That would be lots of fun. Baking the cookies will definately be one thing my sons and I do to prepare for Halloween. I really enjoyed this post. The ideas and photos made me smile :)

It’s great to be a grandparent, and watch kids grow up again.
