“The 7D” Comedic Version of The Seven Dwarfs for Disney Junior.

HEIGH-HO, HEIGH-HO…IT’S OFF TO SERIES WE GO!

“The 7 D” is the title for a new version of the Seven Dwarfs being made for Disney Junior. This will be a comedic version from the contemporary version of the Seven Dwarfs for viewers age 2 – 7 and their families.
Nancy Kanter, Senior Vice president, Original programming and General Manager, Disney Junior Worldwide made the announcement that this show was planned to debut in 2014 for Disney Junior channels.

Disney Junior hopes to connect children with the stories and characters of Seven Dwarfs in a fun format of storytelling by reinventing the classic story by putting the Seven Dwarfs in humorous settings that children and their parents will enjoy.

According to Disney, “The series takes place in the whimsical world of Jollywood, where Queen Delightful relies on the 7D – Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Dopey, Grumpy and Doc – to keep the kingdom in order. Standing in their way are two laughably evil villains, Grim and Hildy Gloom, who plot to take over the kingdom by stealing the magical jewels in the 7D’s mine. With seven very distinct personalities, the 7D always manage to save the day and send Grim and Hildy running back to their evil lair to try another day.”

Disney hopes that together parents and their children will join in watching this show with each other to enjoy this fun new show which will also included academic reinforcement skills of early math, language, healthy eating and social skills.
