Shoe Garden & Other Shoe Stories

I never really considered classifying my shoe collection as a shoe garden but love the idea now that it has been suggested by author Brenda Finne and illustrated by her sister Joyce Fishman in The Shoe Banter Collection. This a book is entitled Shoe Garden & Other Shoe Stories.

The book consists of fun four rhyming short stories and is sure to spark the imagination of children hearing or reading the stories of ‘Shoe Garden’, Shoe Dreams’, ‘Butterfly Shoes’ and ‘When Shoes Can Fly’.

I think children will enjoy listening and reading the book and all the creative rhythms and ideas that will start kids thinking about their shoes in an entirely different light.
Shoe Garden & Other Shoe Stories was released in November 2013 and is now available in paperback or e-book versions.

What a clever concept! Hadn’t thought of my shoes in that way either, but how fun! Will have to check this title out for my grand daughter.

I really like that these are rhyming stories. It would be a great way to teach the concept of rhyme during our poetry units in my class.
