Treasure Island and Twelve Labors Of Hercules have a new twist this fall. Lake 7 Creative has published two books that middle graders get the opportunity to be the main characters and make choices throughout the book to decide how to deal with situations faced in the story.
Greek Mythology’s Twelve Labors of Hercule adapted by Brandon Terrell makes the reader the main character of Hercules. They read the book while completing twelve perilous labors and deciding their path. Will their decisions lead to success to gain immortality or will their choices lead to doom?
Treasure Island adapted by Blake Hoena
Once again in this adapted version of the classic of Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island the reader will find they are the main character of Jim Hawkins as they begin their adventure. Decisions will need to be made through out the book and the reader will find out if they can make the correct decisions to locate the hidden treasure or will their decisions cost them their treasure and their life?
Both books are great reads for children of ages 9 – 13 and are fun as they are required to make decisions. The reader will then turn to the correct page to see if it was wise or a mistake. I like these books as they help a child to read, think, react, make a decision and then see the consequences of those choices.
Both of these books are available for sale at the Lake 7 Creative web site with other books for various ages.
Most of the paperbacks are priced at $8.95 and e-book versions are coming soon and priced at $3.99
I was just recently over at the site and downloaded a free Robin Hood e-book so check the site out to see all the great books available.
