General Mills is releasing a classic cereal that use to be my pick if the monster trio of Boo Berry, Count Chocula and Franken Berry was your favorite then good news! Read the rest of this to find out what Pam from Just Like June says about her memories of these cereals.
“I remember my favorite cereal as a child – Boo Berry, the blueberry flavored cereal with the friendly ghost on the package. I don’t know what I liked the best, the way the milk turned blue after I had finished eating or the crunchy mini marshmallows. One year I described Boo Berry to my kids. “I want to try it!” they exclaimed. We searched for it but couldn’t find it at any stores. When my husband came home and told me the local grocery store had received an end cap display, I made a special stop by the store to pick up a box. I couldn’t believe it when they told me they had sold out their entire shipment. “It’s a seasonal item,” they informed me, “We only get it in stock once a year.”
When I received an email letting me know General Mills had released the three classics, Boo Berry, Count Chocula and Franken Berry , beginning in September for a limited time at Target, I made a mental note that I would stock up on Boo Berry before they were sold out.
• Did you know each serving of the monster-themed cereal has no cholesterol or saturated fat and provide a good source of whole grain, calcium, and nine essential vitamins and minerals ?
We received a box of each of these cereals and the kids have had a field day trying them. Their favorite flavor has been a toss up between Count Chocula and Boo Berry, although I might have eaten slightly more of the Boo Berry than the kids. Can I help it if the box of Boo Berry accidentally was pushed to the back of the pantry where it wouldn’t be seen as easily? Or that I had breakfast before the kids each morning? I will admit there was some complaining when the kids found the Boo Berry Cereal box in the recycle bin, but they were diverted with promises of Count Chocula.”
