The Ultimate Christmas Collection @VeggieTales

I love getting in the holiday spirit long before Christmas arrives. I can remember as a child anxiously awaiting my favorite holiday shows to be aired on television and playing my Christmas records to make it festive.

Veggie Tales has the perfect Christmas collection for your family this year. The Ultimate Christmas Collection has 6 holiday favorites and 25 songs sung by the Veggie Characters on a CD.

Even though they are made for kids, as an adult, I gain a lot of entertainment from them. I find the stories so touching and such a wonderful reminder of the true meaning of Christmas. There is plenty of humor in this collection and I found myself chuckling more than a few times while watching.

I have to admit one day last week I was getting a little anxious about the holidays and all the things to bake, decorate and buy. I could feel the stress taking hold. I sat down and watched the DVD selections in this volume and loved the messages they held. Once again I was reminded that Christmas was all about giving and showing love. It certainly isn’t about buying the biggest and best present but being together as a family and celebrating the day for the greatest gift given us by God, his son.

All the stories on the DVD set of stories are great but I particularly loved the story of ‘It’s A Meaningful Life.’ So often I think we all have experienced moments where we just don’t feel or were robbed our path in life and consider “What If”. This story brings everything back into perspective and uplifts. It is a wonderful reminder that God directs our steps and has the best plan for us.

To add to the festivities of the season, The Veggie’s serenade and kick off the season with 25 wonderful songs including Oh Christmas Tree, Hark the Herald Angels Sing. Greensleeves and 22 more of your favorite Christmas Classics. Singing along with the Veggie Tales is a wonderful way for children to learn the lyrics of the songs and get into the holiday spirit.

Playing this CD while the grand kids are here and while we bake cookies, prepare holiday favorite foods or decorate together builds the memories and closeness of family. Thanks to the Veggie Tales you too may add extra memories in your holidays with their DVD.

We live next door to my brother and sister-in-law, so each Christmas morning we carry our gifts down. Their living room is huge, so my parents and families come over too, and we all have a HUGE breakfast. Grits, cinnamon rolls, different kinds of eggs, sausage, fruits, you name it! We all sit around and enjoy each other for a while before we open things. It’s wonderful.

We spend Christmas day dressed up as an elf(me) and a clown(hubby and whatever grandkids come w/us). We serve a turkey dinner to mentally and physically developmentally disabled people and have a big party! Live band after dinner and we dance w/everyone and they take turns singing parts of requested songs into the mic themselves. It is ABSOLUTELY my favorite new tradition we have (only 4 years, but I hope I never have anything else to do on Christmas Day!)
