I attended Toy Fair last February and although some things about that exciting event may be a blur in my mind there are still toys that stand out. On my visit to the Bridge Direct showroom I became infatuated with a particular line that was not yet available to the public.

I loved the toy for all the potential it had for inspiring girls with imaginative play that would lead to creativity, adventure and sharing secrets.
Shells seem to hold a fascination for most children and as a resident of Florida I have spent my fair share of walking the beach line and helping my grand-daughter collect shells that she was convinced were treasures.
Waverly and the Magic Seashells are recommended for ages 4+.
My grand-daughter is eight and I imagine Waverly and the Magic Seashells will be on her list of ‘must haves’ and I whole heatedly agree. This is why I kept them in mind and have patiently waited for them to appear on retail shelves.
Waverly and her friends are mermaids and sea creatures. They are small dolls so children can easily take them with them or store them conveniently.

Each item in the line comes with a special pearl that holds the secrets of Waverly and her friends so children learn memory skills while playing and learning more about their new friends.
Additional play sets may be purchased for fun to add to the magical quality of this under water town.

Each special pearl that is included with each item can be placed in the Magic Seashell Playset and the pearl reveals the secrets of Waverly and her friends.
There are 50 secrets revealed in all and some include lights, sounds, and spoken secrets from Waverly and her friends! The play sets are also homes for Waverly and her friends besides the magic pearl reader that unlocks each pearl’s unique secrets.
The suggested retail value is $4.99 – $34.99 so the product is very affordable and great gifts to pick up to increase the size of the collection.

Adding all the ingredients we have:
Little girls+ seashells + mermaids + secrets + imaginative play + Waverly and the Magic Seashells = A real winner and well worth my wait for encouraging my grand daughters imagination and creativity.
Keep your eyes open for this toy as it will start appearing in stores such as Target, Toys R Us and Kmart in the next few weeks.

I can think of so many little girls who would love these! And with Christmas coming I will be keeping my eyes out for them.
those are so cute! If my daughter was old enough I would so be all over those! Maybe in a few years she will love them!
Love these! How adorable! I will have to keep an eye out for them for my granddaughter. The seashell concept greatly appeals to me to, so we’ll have fun playing together
Ohhh….my daughter wants these now.lol I’ve never seen them before I will have to check for them.
My daughters loved these type of miniature toys when they were younger. My youngest still has a drawer full of her old PollyPockets and she is now 15
Oh this is too cute! When I was a kid I was OBSESSED with mermaids, and like JMom’s kids, I still have all my old Polly Pockets. So I can see why little girls would flip for this!
I LOVE this doll! It’s so cute and I can totally see this being huge with little girls.
Thanks for sharing, I have a new gift idea now!

Too cute! My daughter would love these
These are just too cute. Thanks for sharing.
What a cute idea, sea shells and dolls. Can’t wait until they are out on the shelves. I will remember I heard about them here first.
How cute! I love the idea. Reminds me of mermaids.
How super cute; I’ve never heard of them but will have to check them out; they would be great for my daughter for Christmas; thanks for letting us know about this cool new “TOY”
my daughter would love these toys!
Wow, that is a little girls dream present isn’t it? I still love this kind of stuff. There is something so fun about little dolls.
Worst toy ever. There are so many design flaws with this toy, you’re better off just passing it right up. The doll doesn’t stay in the seat, the latch to close up the shell doesn’t work, it doesn’t work in the “on” position, even after changing the batteries. This is the biggest waste of $25 I’ve ever spent.
Did you take it back Christine to see if you may have gotten a defective one? I don’t own one so I have no idea if this is a design flaw or one others are experiencing.
unfortunately the box was torn up beyond repair, and I doubt that I would be able to return it.
